As a web designer, I was part of a two-man team that built one of the first e-commerce websites in Australia — Danoz Direct. This was 20 years ago. Shows my age, doesn’t it?
Well, maybe it does but if you’re looking for a web designer, the fact that I started my first web design job before Google was incorporated should give you some peace of mind — you’ll be dealing with a guy who’s been around the industry for a while should you choose to hire me.
By now, reading and looking at this page, you might be wondering why it’s so plain. Where are the funky images and all the other designerish jazz?
This website is plain because I want to make a point. And the point is this: I want your attention. You’re still reading this, right? An image of a pretty girl sitting on a beach in her mini skirt, staring at a laptop’s screen as if she’s working on a client’s website, I don’t need that. That’s not how I work. Designing websites is nothing like sitting on a beach sipping daiquiris. And why would you care how it is anyway? You need a website and someone reliable to do it for you.
Below is a short list of recent websites I built for my clients. Follow the links and have a look, see if you like them. Get in touch with the owners and ask them if they’d recommend me to you. Drop me a line or call if you have any questions. I’m easy and always happy to chat. My phone number’s at the top.
I’ve been looking after William Long’s website since about 2004. William is one of the most respected commercial photographers in Australia. He was an early adopter of digital photography and the Internet in his business.
Longshots website is now in its sixth version, a testament to a happy client-designer relationship.
Esperia is an Italian bicycle manufacturer that owns some of the most respected and oldest European cycling brands.
They brought a lot of new products to Australia in 2015 and wanted a clean, modern website that would appeal to the discerning Australian public.
Mega Bike is a boutique bike shop offering a range of quality cycling brands and services to Adelaide cyclists. They wanted to redesign their aged website with a modern, sleek look.
Simon Gardner is one of the Brisbane’s famed guitarists and a renowned guitar teacher. As many of my clients, Simon asked me to kick back to life his outdated website. He wanted something personal, striking and stylish.
Kaha Homes is a boutique home construction company with a flair for building smart, beautiful homes on sloping sites.
They have invested a considerable amount of money to produce professional images of their homes. Kaha Homes asked me to create a website that would show potential customers what they can do in most demanding circumstances on difficult to build sites.
The current Kaha Homes website is the second one I made for them.
Skills Institute Australia is a training organization offering courses in hospitality, remedial health, and automotive services to international and domestic students. I did the full revamp of their 10-year-old website.
Cambridge Academy approached me to overhaul their old website. They wanted a fresh, modern look that would go well with their language courses.
